Moisturiser with a Glow

This summer what I've really been after is the glow, you know that look of your skin that just makes you look healthy when really you've had about 6 hours sleep because the birds were chirping at 5 in the morning but you can't close the window because it's too hot and stuffy with it closed. Well I think I've found it, or at least one part to help me get the glow I want in the form of a moisturiser. The Body Shop's Vitamin E Illuminating Moisture Cream is a beautiful moisturiser with a pink tint to it. This pink tint shows up on the face but not to make you look like you're a hot and sweaty mess, it makes me look like I'm really healthy. Usually I go for foundations that have a yellow undertone so when I first applied this I wasn't sure what it was going to be like but of course, to me, The Body Shop can do no wrong. It gives a glow that you can't really put your finger on, unless of course you know that you've applied this moisturiser so you know the secret to the success.

As you can see from the swatches, it's a very subtle pink and when worked into the skin it's very subtle indeed. I did rub it in to the right of the obvious swatch but it's so subtle the camera didn't pick up on it very well. If I don't have any other makeup on then I feel that my skin just looks that little bit better and healthier than it did. When I apply makeup I can't really see the glow but at the moment I've been using the Dior Star foundation which again gives a lovely glow (you can tell I've gone to town on the glowy look this summer) so I don't know whether it's just the foundation that gives me the glow or the moisturiser too because they're both so good, I can't get myself to use anything else.
