Mixing Mascaras

Since forever (slight exaggeration, I probably wasn't bothered when I was five) I've wanted long and thick lashes, naturally I have neither which is a royal pain so I've had to try out a hell of a lot of mascaras from the aisles of Boots.
Some I've found have been pretty good, the Maybelline Lash Sensational was quite good but wasn't just right for me. I've tried out a few high end mascaras from magazines or little taster packs from Benefit but I can't justify spending so much on a mascara that will run out or will go out of date in six months.

However, recently I've been using a combination of two mascaras that work really well together, although they are both mini versions of high end makeup that I'm undecided whether I will repurchase, at least I can enjoy the combination for a few months. I can't say that either of these wowed me when I was using them on their own but together they make a killer combination. The Eyeko Lengthening Skinny Mini Mascara is up first which lengthens my lashes really nicely and is also perfect for my lower lashes, next I apply lots of Benefit Bad Gal Lash. This gives my lashes the umph they really need giving lots of volume.

I'd love to know if you have any recommendations for another mascara that gives length and volume.
