The Five Product Face

I'm the type of person to use lots of different products on my face, I don't mean that I like to be caked in makeup though, that's not a good look for me. However, I tried to test myself to see if I could manage with only five products, maybe a test for going on holiday when I'm going to have to cut down on my makeup that I use daily.

The Base:  My first choice is Rimmel Match Perfection, this is quite a heavy coverage for me and I find that if I'm having a reasonably good skin day then I don't need concealer over the top. Next for the base is Soap and Glory's Solar Powder, this has been a favourite for me for quite a while now. This is great for bronzing or contouring, I use the Real Techniques Contour brush for contouring and the Real Techniques Powder brush for bronzer because its a big brush that covers all areas of the face giving it a lovely, warm glow. If I want to be really savvy here I can use Solar Powder as an eyeshadow too.

The Brows:  I couldn't miss doing my brows, my face feels bare if I haven't done them, recently I've been loving my little bargain of a find that comes in the form of Rimmel Brow This Way, this was under £5 and in it you get a really good brow wax which I've made a substantial dent in already after only using it for a few months. You also get a powder which I haven't used yet but again, I could use it as an eyeshadow. Also in this compact little product is a tiny brush and spoolie which I use all the time, it's one of the first times that I've actually used the tools that come with the makeup!

The Eyes:  I had to include an eyeliner and the Maybelline gel liner pot is the one I've been reaching for over the past few weeks and is a firm favourite because of how long lasting it is. I also couldn't not include mascara because it brings the whole eye look together, another favourite has been the Maybelline Lash Sensational because it gives really good volume and lasts quite a long time too which is an added bonus for me in summer because I'm constantly sneezing due to hay fever!
