Top Five Beauty Products

If you've been reading emhasrednails for a little while now you'll probably have seen me talk about these products before but I thought I would put them all in one post to give them that extra love that they deserve because these are my most loved products.

First up is the Mac Pro Longwear Concealer, this is in a lot of my monthly favourites and I use it pretty much everyday. There's not a bad word I can say about this (apart from the price but it's worth it) it's a heavy coverage concealer that covers up blemishes so well that you actually forget that they are there, I know it sounds like a dream! This works best on blemishes but I even use it as an under eye concealer if I have really dark circles. It doesn't tend to crease on me either which is really good seeing as it is such a high coverage concealer.

Urban Decay Naked Palette

Next is the original Urban Decay Naked palette. I decided to splurge on this last year and it has been well worth the money, if I'm wearing eyeshadow then 4 out of 5 times I will reach for this beauty. With 12 stunning shades that are all quite wearable it's a palette that a lot of beauty lovers will have in their collection. In the first picture are the shades that I wear a lot in the daytime, Sidecar and Smog are two of my favourites for a more natural look with Darkhorse and Hustle being my go to shades for a night out. That's not to say that I don't use the other shades, I've used them all but the two lighter shades that haven't been photographed are a little pale for me and I tend to use these in the inner corner of the eye or below the brow line. I've been wanting to try the Naked 2 palette for a while, I've got my fingers crossed that I get this for my birthday.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick

This is the first ever lipstick I bought so I think that's why it has an extra big place in my heart but it's also a beautiful shade, the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 107 is a gorgeous deep red that I'm always picking up for a night out. This is the only one of my top 5 products that I don't wear that often but it's one of those products that when I wear it I feel a million dollars. Not only is the shade beautiful but the staying power of this is out of this world. I've worn this for a family meal and I never had to top it up, I remember my Auntie asked if it was an expensive lipstick because it stuck around for so long but it's not, it's very affordable. My only problem with this is that because it stays around for so long it is a bit drying so I tend to moisturise my lips before wearing it.

Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner

I only got the Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner at the start of the year but I'm already onto my second bottle of it because I use it so often. I used to be a fan of felt tip eyeliners but I found that no matter which one I used it would never last the whole day so I thought I would try out a liquid eyeliner, I'd been put off before because I thought they would be really hard to use and get an even line, however, after having a few years practise with the felt tip liners I gave it a go. I'm so glad I did because this is now a firm favourite, it lasts all day on me, doesn't crease and isn't too hard to apply although this could be because of the practise I've had. The only issue I have with this is the brush, it's quite a stiff brush-like thing that is okay when applying but I found that after a few months of using it the fibres started to fray which lead to messy application which is why I got a second bottle of it. Other than that I love it.

Maybelline Brow Drama

My final product in my top five is the Maybelline Brow Drama in Dark Brown. This is a funny little product that when I first got it I wondered if it would be any good and questioned it even more when I saw the brush because its narrow at the bottom and then goes wider into a ball shape at the top. I really like this product, it's perfect for keeping my unruly brows in place whilst adding a subtle hint of colour. When I'm having a natural looking day with very minimal makeup I'll just use this on it's own but on most days I use a wax or eyeshadow first and then set them with the Brow Drama.

What are your top five beauty products, I'm always up for trying new products so give me your recommendations.
