10 Facts about Me

1. I'm a chocoholic - I'm currently sat eating mini eggs whilst typing.
2. I'm in my second year at uni reading Psychology - I've actually enjoyed this year more than my first year which is surprising because this year has been a lot harder work wise and it actually counts *cries*.
3. I have a very large collection of fluffy socks - I'm wearing some pink ones now that my grandma gave me, FYI Primark do the best fluffy socks.
4. I love Taylor Swift - I'm seeing her for the third time in June and I may possibly cry.
5. I have a MacBook Air and when I'm typing I have to have the lights on the keys turned up or else it feels wrong (but when I watch something on it I can't have them on, weird I know)
6. I really want to go to New York - like really badly, someone take me! Please!
7. I used to read all the time when I was younger and now I hardly ever do and I really miss it - when I'm coming home on the train I always make sure I have a book with me as train time is scheduled as reading time.
8. My most played song on iTunes is Dancin' Away With My Heart by Lady Antebellum - I love this song, when I went to see them in concert I nearly cried.
9. I don't like Friends, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory and basically all the American shows on e4 - yes that is controversial, I just don't find them funny.
10. I'm an only child and I've never had a pet - I don't mind about the brothers or sisters but I think that I'm scared of pretty much every animal because I never had any contact with them when I was younger.

March Favourites

Yes, I understand that I am over a week late with this type of post AND I haven't posted in a while so I've failed with this blogging business but I fancied writing a post because I've missed typing things that aren't essays. I'm home for Easter now so I had to choose a few select products to take home with me because I can't bring my whole makeup collection and I think that I did pretty well with my choices.

First of all is my foundation, I'm so close to finishing this bottle (I can't remember the last time I finished a foundation so it must be a pretty good one just off that basis). The Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude foundation has become a firm favourite, the colour match is pretty good which is rare with me, foundations are never pale enough for my skin tone which is really annoying. I really like the finish of the Lasting Finish Nude as well, I find it quite hard to explain but it looks very natural on the skin with a medium coverage and has a slightly dewey finish that can be made matte with a dusting of powder.

My next favourite which has been a favourite for ages is the Urban Decay Naked palette, I got this around a year ago and I'm always going back to it. The colours are so wearable with the last three shades being perfect for a bolder smokey eye and the other shades are all great for a daytime look. The eyeshadows are a lovely buttery texture that, with a primer, last all day on me.

I've been loving the Mac Pro Longwear Concealer. It's perfect for me, it covers up those pesky spots really easily and is also great covering up my under eye baggage that is getting darker and darker by the day, I'm blaming my degree for that one.

I got a sample of Benefit's new mascara the Roller Lash in a copy of Elle a few months ago and I've been loving it. I'm not usually a fan of plastic wands, I tend to stick to ones that are thick with fibre bristles but after hearing so many good reviews on it I had to try it out. I've fallen in love with it which is really annoying because it's nearly £20 for a full-size one, which I'm not prepared to pay, but this mascara does wonders for my short stubby lashes, it gives them an amazing curl which surprisingly holds for me. Rollerlash gives my lashes length and volume and it also looks pretty good after a day of wearing it. I can't rely fault this mascara other than the price.

Another pretty new addition to my ever expanding stash has been the Collection Fast Stroke eyeliner which is the first liquid eyeliner I've used in a long time. This one is a bargain at only £2.99. I find it reasonably easy to use (although I always have a damp cotton bud to hand to wipe away any mistakes) and the best part about it is that it lasts all day.

My final favourite is the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I used to use this to apply my foundation but it just wasn't doing the job as well as my Real Techniques Buffing Brush so I went back to using the brush for application and then used the sponge to really pat my skin and make sure everything was blended in, I also do this with my concealer and I find that I get a really nice, even base.

My Current Playlist

I haven't done a post like this before so I thought I would do something a little different and let you have a read of the songs I've been loving at the moment.

First up is Sam Smith's Like I Can, I love Sam Smith's voice, it's so nice to listen to but few of his songs have really made an impact on me until I heard Like I Can, it's such a catchy song that I can't help but listen to it all the time.

Lips Are Movin' by Meghan Trainor, this one is the song that we do our conditioning to at Gymnastics, really I should hate this song because conditioning is hard but it's so catchy that anytime I hear it and I'm not doing exercise I want to start moving around.

Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding has been a firm favourite for a few months now, I don't know what it is about this song but I've always loved Ellie Goulding.

Heroes (we could be) by Alesso, as soon as I heard Heroes I loved it, again I'm not sure why so I can't explain it but I do!

What have been your favourite songs these past few months?
