Eyeliner Loving

If you've been reading my blog for a bit you might now know that I love wearing eyeliner, especially with a little flick, if you didn't already know you can see how much I love it because of the amount of different eyeliners I've got. I've found that felt tip like liners are the best for me, they're easy to use and last a relatively long time. I've put the liners in order of when I got them (I'm guessing with the first three because I've had these for quite a while) The norm seems to be now that with each new liner I get I think it's better than the previous, however, when I went back over them all I realised that they were all pretty good and each has their advantages and disadvantages. Some have better staying power, some are easier to do a flick and others are better for doing a thin, subtle line above my lashes.

These three are my newest, The L'Oreal Superliner Perfect Slim had a great nib, it was the perfect thickness which made it really easy to get a lovely thin, subtle line with a nice flick but it wasn't just black enough for me.

Oh the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner, I don't have a bad word to say about this (apart from the name, it's not a true liquid eyeliner) first of all I got this free in a magazine and it's the best freebie I've ever got, second it's so easy to use, perfect for anyone with any kind of eyeliner skills as the nib is perfect, just the right size with enough movement to make it work. It doesn't lack in colour either. This liner is the one I pick up all the time and is the one most likely to give me great looking eyeliner.  This will 100% be repurchased.

The Soap and Glory Supercat Liner is pretty much joint with the Eyeko liner, it's pretty black, it could be one of the easiest nibs I've ever had to get the perfect flick, the lasting power is reasonable with this one, doesn't last all day on me but few ever do because I have oily lids. This one is pretty cheap being £6 from Boots. If you prefer a thicker line then you could try out the Soap and Glory Supercat Fat liner, I haven't tried it before but if it's anything like the normal one then I'd guess it would be pretty good.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof liner is the thinnest of the liners I've got, it's amazing for a thin line because the nib is so thin. Scandaleyes is good for a very subtle flick but not great for a more obvious one. It's so easy to use because it's so thin but the nib isn't flexible so if you prefer a bit of movement in your liner this probably isn't the one for you.

The L'Oreal Superliner Blackbuster is for those people who like a really thick black line but that's not really my style so this wasn't a winner with me, this one really looked like a felt tip pen and unlike the others it was pretty thick. I would recommend this one if you like bolder liner but it's not one for beginners as you need a very steady hand with this one as one wrong move and it's all over your eye.

I have mixed feelings for the Bourjois Liner Feutre, it's blacker than black which is great for me as I hate liners that turn out to be a grey colour but the brush is too bendy for me, if it was a little sturdier I would love it as it's the perfect size nib and has great staying power too. I'm tempted to repurchase this one and see if the nib has got more flexible because it's getting a bit older now, I might get back to you on this one.

*I like my liner to be of a thin to medium thickness with a small flick, I know that my friend who wears very thick liner would prefer the thicker nibs because it's quicker to use but to me, the thinner the better*

New Years Resolutions

I know everyone will be doing posts like these but I'm doing this more for myself, if I write them all down and post it I'm hoping that I will keep to them, I'm usually a failure with these sorts of things!

1. The usual eat healthy and spend less money; I'm clumping these two together because they're boring ones that I try to do every year. There's not much explaining on this eat less sugar and more fruit and veg, buy less makeup, you have enough girl!

2. Write more blog posts, I'm pretty good with this one when I'm at home, especially in summer but in term time I'm awful, I want to be better but when I'm not revising or writing essays I want to be away from my laptop and not typing away, I'm still going to try and post more but I know it will be hard for me so we'll see how I go.

3. Say yes to more things. I'm one of those people who likes to be in my comfort zone, I need to get out of my comfort zone and do more things, experience life more!

4. Be able to do a good handstand and cartwheel. I joined the Gymnastics society last year in September and I'm slowly improving, I'm getting there with both of them but they're still not good enough!
