Olay Microdermabrasion System

I'd heard good things about the Clarasonic but the price tag was just too high for me so I did a bit of research and found this, the Olay Pro-X Microdermabrasion +. This has got to be one of the best things I've bought in a long time, costing a fraction of the price of the Clarasonic (I haven't tried the clarasonic but I'm pretty sure this does a similar job) at only £30 this was a bargain. My skin has never felt so clean.

The Olay kit comes with all of the items above, it's something that I try to use everyday, especially when I've been wearing makeup. There are two different heads to this, the one with the brush like head to be used daily for cleansing and the sponge like head to be used once or twice a week for exfoliating. There are three settings for this system, the first two are slower and are to be used with the cleansing brush head and the third, faster setting is to be used with the exfoliating foam head.

The brush head that should be used around 5 times in the week is more gentle on the skin, this head  gently cleanses the skin with a hint of exfoliating but I find this really works to make sure all of my makeup is removed. I tend to use a facewipe to remove the main part of my makeup and then use Simple Cleansing lotion to remove the rest. I then use the brush head for a minute with the cleanser that is provided and after using this my skin has never felt so clean. I'm also starting to find that my blackheads are clearing up which I'm really happy with, I'm guessing this is because I'm removing the makeup that clogged up my skin that I didn't even realise was still there.

The foam head is tougher on the skin so is recommended to be used no more that twice a week and not on two consecutive days. I can understand this as it is harsher on the skin, the foam head doesn't hurt but I wouldn't recommend using this on the sensitive patches of your skin. The thermal crystal polisher is to be used with the foam head which self heats, it's not too hot but has a nice warmth to it. The foam head is for exfoliating the skin, I find when using this regularly my skin feels a lot softer and dry patches disappear.

Also inside the kit I got some age repair lotion with sunscreen, however I haven't used this yet as I don't have a need for this so I can't comment on how well it works.

Overall I would recommend this to anyone, it's good for anyone on a budget who wants to improve the look of their skin and it's so easy to incorporate it into a daily routine.
