Happy Beauty Day

I won Lyndsey's giveaway of Benefit's Happy Beauty Day from ClockworkBeauty and I so happy! I love trying new things and Benefit has always been a brand that has intrigued me with it's quirky packaging and cute names so when this arrived in the post I couldn't wait to try it all out. Thank you so much Lyndsey!

Included inside Happy Beauty Day is the Porefessional, the only product I have tried before, also included is a mini version or Posietint which can be used on cheeks and lips as well as BADgal lash which is one of the best mascaras I've tried for giving amazing thick and fluttery lashes. I love how on the back of the packaging is instructions of how to use each product, this is especially useful with the Posietint which I wasn't sure how the best way to apply this was.

This is a great little started kit for when someone who wants to try products from Benefit, these are three very popular products from their range and these give you quite a lot of product seeing as they are just a sample size so you can make up your opinion of whether to buy the full size product.

I have previously written a review of the Porefessional here but the quick version is that I love this primer, it keeps my makeup on a lot longer than without it and it minimizes pores too which is an added bonus for me.

Bad Gal lash is a great mascara when I first apply it, my lashes look long and thick which makes my eyes look bigger than they are. However, this mascara just doesn't have the lasting power like I expected it to have, after coming home from a seven hour shift at work it looks like I've got one coating of a very bad quality mascara on which isn't good enough for me. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong with this mascara but what mistake can you make with mascara? I expected big things from BADgal lash and it let me down, however if I only need to look decent for a short time this will be my mascara of choice but for a long day I'll take my Soap and Glory Thick and Fast.

I'm not sure about Posietint, I'm yet to figure out how to use it to its full potential but I just can't seem to get the hang of it. I'm a powder blush girl so this is a new one for me, however I won't give up, I will keep practising with it and will hopefully get it right soon. I haven't tried Posietint as a lip tint yet, I'm not a baby pink lip kind of person but for the people who suit a baby pink lip I'm guessing that this will be a very long lasting colour.

Have you tried any of these products? What are your favourite Benefit products?
