L'Oreal True Match Foundation

I feel that now is the right time to review the L'Oreal True Match foundation as I've been using it a few times a week for the past 6 weeks. I don't wear foundation everyday as I do like to let my skin breathe but if I'm going out somewhere where I want to look presentable this is the foundation I've been choosing.

I do have two different shades of this foundation even though it says it's True Match, I have the palest one in Rose Ivory which although I am very pale skinned this would be too pale for me and I would look very much like Edward Cullen but without the sparkles. The other shade I have is too dark for me and is Rose Vanilla, I find that these two shades mixed together make a good colour match with my skin. It also means that after I've been on holiday and (hopefully) got a tan I can use less of Rose Ivory and it should still match my skin colour.

I really like this foundation, it's the perfect medium coverage for me, you can still see your skin but it covers up the majority of imperfections. True Match is quite easy to blend, I like to use my Real Techniques Buffing Brush to buff the foundation in, I blend the two colours together on my hand first and then with my finger put it on my cheeks, nose, chin and forehead and get buffing. The foundation is one of those that doesn't seem to be there and I really like that finish. True Match is quite matte but after a couple of hours my t-zone does start to get a bit on the shiny side (although I do have oily skin so it could be just me)

L'Oreal True Match Foundation is a foundation that works for me and I would be likely to buy again, however because everyone's skin type is different so it might not be good for everyone. If you fancy trying it you can buy it here for £9.99

Have you tried L'Oreal True Match? Did you like it?

Ta ta for now

  1. Oh, it's a cult. I feel like I have to take my foundation out on every occasion in case I happen to pop into Boots and want to try out a new one. I'm rubbish with matching to my face shade so carrying around the foundation I normally use is a necessity. Must try out this one. x

    1. It's annoying when the boots don't have a great selection of foundation shades, they have some great foundations though, we just can't win!

    1. This one is great for me, it's not too heavy but does give a good coverage
