I love... X-Men

X-Men Days of Future Past

I'd always thought the X-Men films were for guys, I was never going to like them but then last year that all changed, my boyfriend and I love films and whilst at his house we were running out of things to watch (he has a lot of scary films and that is not my thing!) so we ended up watching X-Men First Class which basically is about how all the Mutants meet when they are younger (In 1962), X-Men First Class is the prequel to the previous X-Men films which are about the Mutants in present day so they are a lot older.

In any X-Men film there is a very impressive cast, from Hugh Jackman who plays Wolverine and I think is in most (if not all) the X-Men films, Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart are Magneto and Professor X in the X-Men films set in the present and Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy are the same characters set in the past (although confusingly these are actually the newer films, I'm getting confused myself here) Also in the films are Jennifer Laurence and Nicholas Hoult (X-Men First Class and X-Men Days of Future Past).

I was getting really excited to see the new Days of Future Past and I realised that I would be coming home from uni the weekend when it came out so I made my boyfriend promise to see it with me and so that's what happened last Saturday and I was not dissapointed! It was well worth the wait (now we just have a two year wait to see X-Men Apocalypse) The cinema was full and I think everyone loved the film, It's hard to explain what happens in this film so you could watch the trailer here. Basically it has pretty much all cast members from all films and involves Wolverine going back to the past to save the future. As a friend who loves X-Men said to me "This film pretty much wipes out what happened in the previous films" but I won't say anything else, you'll have to go and watch it. However, it's probably worth seeing the previous films before you see this one as you get to know the characters and what each mutant's power is as well as seeing which are the 'good' or 'bad' characters.

Ta ta for now!
