Fake it

No7 Fake Tan

I'm pale, there's no hiding that one so I have to fake it as I can't afford a holiday every few months. I first tried No7 Perfectly Bronzed Quick Dry Tinted Lotion a couple of years ago and I think this bottle is my fourth or fifth, I just find it that good (it is a bit expensive so I like to buy it with the £5 off skincare No 7 voucher you get from Boots). As long as I rub it in properly and don't rush it when I'm doing that then it usually doesn't turn out streaky. It does have a smell to it but I actually quite like it and I wouldn't really call it a biscuity smell either.

It does say that it's wear off but I've found that as long as you leave it a good 16 hours after putting it on (best to do it after showering) before getting wet then it usually stays on for a good few days, after I start to lose a bit of the colour I tend to re-do it and then I will be good till the end of the week or even longer.

Fake Tan

The picture above shows what colour it comes out of the bottle but then once I've rubbed it in I have a very slight hint of colour and gradually over a couple of hours I start to get some colour to my pastey legs. If I haven't used this for a few weeks then I usually fake tan one night then a day or two later I fake tan again and I'll have the desired colour, if I was to keep fake tanning then I could probably get away with doing it once a week.

I would recommend exfoliating before using this to avoid it going all blotchy.

Have you got and really good fake tans that you would recommend?

Ta ta for now!

    1. I'm really pale and it doesn't make me look orange, you can build it up if you did it every night but just once and you won't be orange. Thanks for reading :) x

    1. Aww you're so lucky living in LA! Where I live we don't get loads of sun and if we do it doesn't really give me a tan so I have to fake it! Exfoliating works if your fake tan goes blotchy too, it's a good way to get rid of it. Thanks for reading! X
